Tokyo Metropolitan Small and Medium Enterprise Support Center is working with the German State of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs), based on the joint Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government in May 2021. The TOKYO x NRW SME Partnership Program aims to facilitate business opportunities for SMEs from NRW in Tokyo/Japan and support collaborations between these and SMEs from Tokyo. We invite SMEs from NRW planning to access the Tokyo/Japan market, and SMEs in Tokyo that wish to connect with NRW/German companies to participate in this program.
On May 31, 2021, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government signed an MOU with the German State of North Rhine-Westphalia regarding support for SMEs. The goal of this MOU is to enable SMEs in both areas to expand into each other's markets, promote innovation through business partnerships and joint research, and create jobs through direct investments.
